Chicago: America’s Second City

We are excited to use this new format for payments for May Term. Please know that the word “Donation” above means “Payment”. You should have received an email from the trip leader in regards to the timeline, if you have not received any emails please contact kbarefoot@theburlingtonschool.org.

Join us as we travel to the Windy City. Chicago has it all, culture, sports, shopping and history. Activities will include a Cub’s game at historic Wrigley Field, a show at the Second City Comedy Club (starting place for many SNL regulars), Navy Pier, an architecture tour by boat and shopping along the famous “Magnificent Mile.” We will also spend time exploring Millennial Park as well as the Art Institute of Chicago in the downtown “Loop.” We will also visit the historic Pilsen neighborhood on the North Side and the Frank Lloyd Wright Robie House on Chicago’s South Side. Food will include famous spots for Chicago pizza as well as local ethnic foods.

All costs for the courses are paid by the student’s family, so please note the expense. Significant deposits are due by February 1st for all trips in order to book transportation. Unfortunately, the deposit is not refundable. All other payments will be collected on April 1st, 2023.
