Thank you for considering a gift to the Future Forward Campaign. We encourage you to select a 3-year pledge period as these funds will be used to pay off debt associated with The Spartan Center. A shorter pledge period would greatly benefit our goals. Payments can be made annually, semi-annually, or quarterly at the discretion of the donor. A longer period may be considered for gifts greater than $100,000.
The Burlington School
Campaign FAQ
Q: Why a campaign? Why now?
A: In the summer of 2023, The Burlington School completed a campaign planning study to assess our community’s readiness for a capital campaign and determine donor interest in a new multi-purpose facility for the arts, academics and athletics. This also includes a regulation size soccer field with track.
More than 330 study participants overwhelmingly shared a positive perception of The Burlington School and its leadership, with more than 93% expressing an interest in and willingness to invest in its future. There was dedicated support to move forward immediately with a campaign.
We also received strong support for and interest in our campaign priorities, and study participants demonstrated a willingness and desire to lend their time, talent, and testimony to the campaign’s success.
Q: How will The Spartan Center alleviate the space issues?
A: Through philanthropic donations, The Spartan Center will enable us to complete this much-needed, comprehensive project in the timeliest manner possible while maintaining the solid financial foundation we have worked so hard to secure over the last five years. The Spartan Center, a multi-purpose facility designed with purpose-built spaces for arts, athletics, and community-wide events will be designed to be configured in multiple ways and will be able to seat 510 for games, 994 people for large performances, and 326 for smaller events and performances. The regulation-size basketball and volleyball courts will enable more teams to practice and play on campus. Additionally, students in drama, choir, fine arts, instrumental music, and rock ensembles will have designated spaces to perform and practice.
Q. Where are we in the process? How much have we raised?
A: The Steering Committee has worked hard during the quiet phase of the campaign. On May 3, 2025, the campaign will enter into the Public Community Phase. Our goal is to raise $6 million dollars. Your donation will help alleviate the debt TBS takes on to build The Spartan Center. To date, we have raised $3.7 million and asks are still taking place.
Q: When does TBS break ground?
A: Our goal is to break ground late summer of 2025.
Q. What does The Spartan Center include?
A. We are excited to share that The Spartan Center will have the following:
1. Its own dedicated spaces for chorus, drama, visual arts, pottery, and storage for performances and equipment.
2. Athletic workout room, locker rooms for TBS, visitors, as well as officials, and storage for athletics, PE and health classes.
Q: Are we to continue our annual support of TBS, as well?
A: Yes. Annual gifts are critical to sustain our operations while raising funds for our new facility. We need every donor to maintain an elevated level of participation in their annual giving to TBS. Campaign gifts are above and beyond your usual annual level of support.
